Privacy policy
What NW Sim Racing collects when you use this site and our simulators, why, and who sees it. Last updated November 6, 2026.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, the name you race under, email address, and password, stored only as a secure hash.
- Details you choose to add: a photo, gender, birthdate, home state, and Instagram handle.
- Racing data: lap times, race results, telemetry, and video clips of your driving.
- Waivers: your signed waiver, including the name typed, the signing date, IP address, and browser, plus guardian details for a minor.
- Bookings and purchases: what you booked or bought. Card details go to Stripe and are not stored by us.
- Anything you post or send us, such as comments, enquiries, and photos sent in for a passport stamp.
Signing in with Google
If you choose "Continue with Google", we receive your name, your email address, and Google's identifier for your account. We use them only to create your account, sign you in, and match you to any account you already have here. We do not ask for or receive your mail, contacts, calendar, or files, and we do not sell this information or use it for advertising. You can disconnect Google in Settings once your account has a password.
How we use it
- To run your account, leaderboards, leagues, bookings, memberships, and receipts.
- To keep waiver and safety records for the shop.
- To send account messages and the notifications you leave switched on in Settings. Marketing email goes only to people who agreed to it.
What is public
The name you race under, your lap times, your results, and clips of your driving can appear on public pages, shop screens, and shared reels. You can change the name you race under in Settings. Your email address, birthdate, and waiver are never public.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We use a small number of service providers to run the business, and they handle data only for that purpose:
- DigitalOcean hosts the site, the database, and stored files.
- Stripe processes payments.
- OpenAI helps edit race clips and review screenshots sent in for passport stamps, which means race details and those images are sent to it.
- Our email provider delivers the messages we send you.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in and to make the site work. We do not use advertising cookies.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data while your account is active. To see, correct, or delete it, contact us and we will do it. We may keep waivers, payment records, and anything else we need for legal or accounting reasons, and results may stay on the boards with your name removed.
Children
This site is not meant for children under 13 to use on their own. A parent or guardian signs the waiver for a minor who drives at the shop.
